Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) is a repository for immunization information for Michigan residents of all ages, from birth to death.

In 2006, Public Act 91 authorized the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) to established MCIR, originally known as Michigan Childhood Immunization Registry. Health care providers across the state enter immunization information for all of Michigan's residents, safeguarding their immunization records for the future.

Public Act 540 of 1996 and the Administrative Rules [R325.163], governs the immunizations given to children. Physicians who administer immunizations to children report this information to MCIR. The information is then available to health care providers throughout Michigan for immunization assessment purposes.
