- 98% of currently enrolled childhood immunization provider sites regularly report immunizations data to MCIR (July 2007). Regional offices work with the remainder to ensure consistent reporting and immunization rates in the registry.
- In October 2003 MCIR received 2 out of 3 national Immunization Registry awards:
- The Grow Award acknowledges an immunization registry that has achieved participation from a high percentage of health care providers from the public and private sectors through effective, innovative, sustainable, and generalizable recruitment strategies.
- The Protect Award recognizes the role that immunization registries play in supporting immunization program decision-making. This award acknowledges the application of registry data in measuring and monitoring immunization coverage, and in ultimately protecting children from vaccine-preventable diseases.
